ConsenSys Inc., a company behind the world’s first Web3 wallet called MetaMask is planning to incorporate PayPal’s on-ramp solutions for digital payments. Through the mobile app, a small number of U.S. MetaMask users will be able to acquire Ethereum (ETH) for a 1% charge. Simply hitting the “buy” button and signing into their PayPal accounts will allow users to buy and send ETH. This collaboration aims to make buying and sending ether as easy as possible.
ConsenSys’ intentions to aid in bringing more people into the Web3 ecosystem as the industry searches for a way ahead during the crypto winter include integrating PayPal with MetaMask. Users in the United States buy cryptocurrencies directly from their wallets using CoinbasePay, Transak, MoonPay, or Wyre by using the MetaMask browser extension. As a result, this connection may also assist to lessen friction during the onboarding process, enabling users who are unfamiliar with cryptocurrencies to bypass the laborious process of buying bitcoin through an exchange.
